Scott McGregor is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Broadcom. In this role, he
is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the company, business development and
day-to-day operations.
Mr. McGregor, who is also a member of the Board of Directors, joined Broadcom in January
2005 after serving since September 2001 as President and CEO of the Philips Semiconductors
division of the Netherlands-based Royal Philips Electronics, At Philips, Mr. McGregor oversaw
one of the world's largest semiconductor suppliers, with 34,000 employees in over 50 countries
and nearly US$6 billion in sales in 2004. In addition to his CEO role, he was also a member of
the Group Management Committee of Royal Philips Electronics. He joined Philips Semiconductors
in February 1998 as head of its Emerging Business unit, focusing on fast growing markets for
smart cards, RFID, networking, digital media processing and computing, and leading the group
to profitability and nearly US$1 billion in sales.
Before joining Philips, from 1990 to 1998 Mr. McGregor served in various senior management
positions, most recently as Senior Vice President and General Manager, at Santa Cruz Operation
Inc. (SCO), a provider of network computing solutions. From 1985 to 1990 he served in senior
positions at Digital Equipment Corporation (now part of HP) where he led the UNIX workstation
software group and was one of the architects of the X Window System. Prior to joining Digital
Equipment Corporation, he worked at Microsoft, where he was the Director of the Interactive
Systems Group and the architect and development team leader of the original version of
Microsoft® Windows®. Prior to Microsoft, Mr. McGregor spent over six years in various
positions at the Xerox Corporation's Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), where he was involved
in designing software for the first personal computers employing graphical user interfaces.
Mr. McGregor received a B.A. in Psychology and a M.S. in Computer Science and Computer
Engineering from Stanford University.
Eric K. Brandt

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Eric Brandt is Chief Financial Officer for Broadcom
Corporation. Mr. Brandt is responsible for overseeing
the long-term financial development of the company in
multiple high-growth markets, mergers and acquisitions,
interfacing with the financial community and managing
the company's internal financial and administrative
operations. Mr. Brandt has extensive experience in
research and development and intellectual
property-intensive industries.
Mr. Brandt has served as Senior Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer since joining Broadcom in March
2007. Previously, Mr. Brandt served as chief executive
officer of Avanir Pharmaceuticals from 2005 to 2007.
From 1999 to 2005, Mr. Brandt was Chief Financial
Officer, in addition he held a variety of other
responsibilities during his time there and most recently
served as Executive Vice President -- Finance and
Technical Operations and Chief Financial Officer of
Allergan Inc. a global specialty pharmaceutical and
medical device company. Mr. Brandt received a B.S. in
Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Tom Lagatta is the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales
for Broadcom Corporation. Mr. Lagatta is responsible for
overseeing worldwide sales operations, including developing
and executing the company's sales strategy and continuing to
build and strengthen its world-class sales team. Mr. Lagatta
has more than 26 years of industry experience.
Mr. Lagatta joined Broadcom in May 2002 and became Senior
Vice President, Enterprise Computing Group in September 2003.
In June 2006 Mr. Lagatta was elected to the position of Senior
Vice President, Worldwide Sales. Previously, from August 1999
to February 2002 Mr. Lagatta served as Vice President and
General Manager of Anadigics, Inc., a semiconductor
manufacturer, where he led the Fiber Communications Products
Business Unit. Before joining Anadigics, from 1998 to July
1999, Mr. Lagatta served as Vice President of Business
Development at Avnet, Inc., an electronic component
manufacturer. Prior to Avnet, Mr. Lagatta served in various
senior management and technical positions for over 11 years at
Symbios Logic, a storage systems company. Mr. Lagatta received
a B.S.E.E. from Ohio State University and an M.S.E.E. from the
University of Southern California.
Arthur Chong

Arthur Chong is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Broadcom Corporation.
Mr. Chong is responsible for the company's legal, corporate secretary and governance, and litigation
activities, in addition to advising on all legal matters and overseeing the work of inside and outside
legal counsel. Mr. Chong is a seasoned corporate attorney with nearly 30 years of experience in corporate
governance, M&A, finance, securities law and litigation.
Arthur Chong joined Broadcom Corporation in October 2008 as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.
Prior to Broadcom, Mr. Chong served as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for Safeco Corporation, a
property and casualty insurance company. Before joining Safeco in 2005, he served over 20 years at McKesson Corporation,
a healthcare services and information technology company based in San Francisco, in a number of legal and management
roles and most recently as Deputy General Counsel. Mr. Chong received an A.B. from University of California, Berkeley
and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Robert L. Tirva

Vice President, Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer
Robert Tirva is the Vice President, Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer for Broadcom Corporation. Mr.
Tirva is responsible for overseeing all accounting policies, transaction processing, and financial reporting.
Mr. Tirva joined Broadcom in October 2000 as Controller for various lines of business within the Broadband
Communications Group. He was appointed Director of Finance - Broadband Communications Group in October 2003 and was promoted
to Senior Director of Finance-Broadband Communications Group in May 2005. Most recently he served as Vice President, Finance,
responsible for corporate financial planning and analysis and business processes. Prior to joining Broadcom, Mr. Tirva served
in various financial positions in the Global Services and Global Financing divisions of the International Business Machines
Corporation for approximately 7 years. He received a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and his M.B.A from
the Yale School of Management. Mr. Tirva is a certified public accountant.

Scott A. Bibaud

The Mobile Platforms Group headed by Scott Bibaud is responsible for Broadcom's
cellular baseband processors, mobile multimedia and application processors and power
management lines of business. End products include next generation cellular handsets
and mobile devices and the critical software supporting new applications for many
high-volume end markets.
Mr. Bibaud joined Broadcom in June 2000 following Broadcom's acquisition of Innovent Systems, Inc., a
pioneer in the development and commercial integration of radio frequency (RF) integrated circuits for shortrange
wireless data communications. Mr. Bibaud became Senior Director of Marketing for Broadcom's
Bluetooth Group in November 2004 and since 2006 has served as Vice President and General Manager of
Broadcom's Wireless PAN group which under his leadership, became Broadcom's fastest growing and largest
line of business. Prior to joining Broadcom, Mr. Bibaud served as Vice President of Marketing at Innovent
Systems, Inc. Before joining Innovent Systems Inc., Mr. Bibaud served in various marketing and management
positions in the Wireless Communication Division of Rockwell Semiconductor Systems (now Conexant
Systems, Inc.). Prior to Rockwell, Mr. Bibaud served as a communications system and hardware engineer at
Raytheon Company, a technology leader specializing in state-of-the-art electronics for defense, homeland
security, and other government markets. Mr. Bibaud received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an M.B.A. from Harvard's Graduate School of Business.
Neil Y. Kim

Neil Kim is the Senior Vice President of Central Engineering for Broadcom Corporation. In this position, Mr. Kim is responsible for all engineering activities including the development of analog mixed-signal and radio frequency (RF) products and building Broadcom's library of core technologies.
Mr. Kim joined Broadcom as Director of Engineering in January 2000 and became Vice President of Central Engineering in October 2001. Prior to joining Broadcom, from 1993 to 2000 Mr. Kim held a series of progressively senior technical and management positions at Western Digital Corporation, a data storage manufacturer, where his last position was Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Kim received a B.S.E.E. from the University of California, Berkeley.

The Broadband Communications Group headed by Dan Marotta is responsible for driving Broadcom's vision for enabling broadband services to and throughout the home, with end products and end markets focused on providing complete solutions to cable, xDSL and satellite broadband and broadcast access networks. Products from this Group are found in cable and DSL modems and gateways; digital cable and satellite set top boxes; digital TV; cable modem termination systems (CMTS) used by cable providers at their head-end equipment locations; and DSL access multiplexers used by service providers.
Mr. Marotta joined Broadcom in October 2002 and became Vice President and General Manager of the Broadband Communications Business Unit in January 2003. In September 2003 Mr. Marotta was elected to the position of Group Vice President, Broadband Communications Group. Previously, from March 1999 to April 2002 Mr. Marotta served in various senior management positions in the Digital Information Division at Conexant Systems, Inc., a semiconductor manufacturer, the most recent of which was Senior Vice President and General Manager. In May 2002 Mr. Marotta was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of the Broadband Communications Segment at Conexant. Prior to joining Conexant, from 1996 to 1999 Mr. Marotta served as Director of Engineering at Brooktree Corporation, a semiconductor manufacturer, and later as Vice President of Engineering at Rockwell Semiconductor Systems, after Rockwell Semiconductor acquired Brooktree in 1996. Mr. Marotta received a B.S.E.E. from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Robert A. Rango

The Wireless Connectivity Group headed by Bob Rango
is responsible for pursuing end-to-end wireless opportunities
for the home, business and mobile markets. The Group oversees
Broadcom's 802.11/Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, and Voice
over IP (VoIP) products. Wireless connectivity products
can be found in mobile handsets, notebook and desktop computers,
IP phones, home gateways, and other wireless-enabled consumer
electronics and peripherals, such as printers, game platforms,
and keyboards.
Mr. Rango joined Broadcom in March 2002 and became Vice
President and General Manager of the Network Infrastructure
Business Unit in October 2002. In September 2003 Mr. Rango
was elected to the position of Group Vice President, Mobile
& Wireless Group. Previously, from 1995 to 2002 Mr.
Rango held several Vice President and General Manager
positions at Lucent Microelectronics, a networking
communications company, and Agere Systems, a semiconductor
manufacturer, in their Optical Access, New Business Initiatives
and Modem/ Multimedia Divisions. Previously, Mr. Rango held
various positions with AT&T Bell Labs for over ten years.
Mr. Rango received a B.S.E.E. from the State University
of New York at Stony Brook and an M.S.E.E. from Cornell
University.
Kenneth E. Venner

Kenneth Venner is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Broadcom Corporation. Mr. Venner is responsible for all business system, computing and telecommunications infrastructure.
Mr. Venner has served as Chief Information Officer since joining Broadcom in August 2000. In February 2002 he was elected a Vice President. Previously, Mr. Venner was Vice President of Product Management and Chief Information Officer of Rockwell Electronic Commerce from 1997 to August 2000. Prior to that, Mr. Venner held a number of information sciences/information technology management positions for over 11 years at Lucent Technologies/ AT&T Bell Laboratories. Mr. Venner received a B.E. from the Stevens Institute of Technology, an M.E. from Carnegie Mellon University and an M.B.A. from New Hampshire College.
Nariman Yousefi

The Enterprise Networking Group (ENG), headed by Nariman
Yousefi, consolidates the former Enterprise Computing and
Networking Infrastructure Groups into one unit. The Group is
responsible for all Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and 10
Gigabit Ethernet controller, switching and physical layer
products, optical solutions, server chipset products, storage
products, security and embedded processors. The Group's
products and technologies are targeted to enterprise, wide
area network (WAN), metropolitan, small-to-medium-sized
business (SMB) and small office/home office (SOHO) markets.
End products offered by this Group include Fast Ethernet and
Gigabit Ethernet controllers for network interface cards
(NICs) and LAN on motherboard (LOM) solutions for notebooks,
desktops and servers; server chipsets; storage silicon
solutions; and physical layer devices, optical solutions,
switches, security and embedded processors for Layer 2 to
Layer 7 switches, routers and security appliances - equipment
that delivers and manages the flow of triple play voice,
video and data services within and across networks.
Mr. Yousefi joined Broadcom in March 1994 as Director of
the Networking Business Unit where Broadcom's Ethernet PHYs
and Ethernet Controllers achieved #1 market position under
his leadership. Mr. Yousefi became Vice President of LAN
Engineering in 2003, and recently served as Vice President
and General Manager of Broadcom's PHY and Optical businesses.
In July 2007 Mr. Yousefi was elected to the position of
Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Enterprise
Networking Group. Prior to joining Broadcom, from 1991 to
1994, Mr. Yousefi served as an Engineering Manager at
Standard Microsystems Corporation, a networking equipment
manufacturer. Prior to Standard Microsystems, he held
various engineering positions at Western Digital Corporation,
a disk drive manufacturer, and Silicon Systems, a
semiconductor company. Mr. Yousefi studied electrical engineering
at the University of California, Davis and received a B.S.E.E.
from the University of Pacific and his M.S.E.E. from the University
of Southern California.
